ELSA Transition Fair for Special-Education Students

Wednesday, February 28, 2018

Special education students and their families are invited to learn about educational programs and other services as they progress from school to adulthood during the ELSA Transition Fair and Information Session, to be held on Feb. 28 at Elmhurst College. More than 20 agencies and organizations that provide education, job training, employment, living options, public transportation, and health services for adults with differing abilities will be at the fair. Attendees also can learn about the Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy (ELSA), Elmhurst College’s innovative program for young adults with differing abilities. ELSA is a four-year program that offers a full-time, post-secondary educational experience for young adults with intellectual or development disabilities. It focuses on academics and career exploration, independent living and social/recreational skills.
