It's a Wonderful Life: The Making of a Holiday Classic

Sunday, December 2, 2018

Did you know Cary Grant was supposed to star in It's a Wonderful Life? That the gym-floor-turned-swimming-pool was real? That the movie bombed at the box office? Even if you've seen the holiday classic a hundred times, you'll have fun learning about the making of the movie with popular historian Leslie Goddard. Enjoy rare behind-the-scenes photographs and find out how the script evolved, how the cast was chosen, and many technical challenges that were overcome. this program is presented in conjunction with the Elmhurst History Museum's exhibit, "Hometown Holiday: It's a Wonderful Life in Elmhurst".
