    PLEASE NOTE: THIS TOUR HAS SOLD OUT! No additional reservations are being taken Explore the history of different neighborhoods throughout Elmhurst during this bus tour, beginning with the 1870s when people built homes to escape post-fire Chicago. Learn how different developers invested in the city as reflected by the diverse eras of 20th century development. The tour will be led by Elmhurst History Museum’s curator of collections, Nancy Wilson, whose vast community knowledge will add to the depth of this experience. Limit 25 participants.

  3. Recycling Extravaganza

    April 29, 2017, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Alexander Street parking lot at Elmhurst College

    The Elmhurst College Recycling Extravaganza is held in partnership with the City of Elmhurst, DuPage County and the environmental education group SCARCE. Acceptable items include electronics of all kinds, building supplies, clothing, bicycles, carpeting, home goods and much more. This year, due to the rising cost of recycling televisions and computer monitors, the electronics recycler will charge a fee to handle only those items. For all CRT, flat-screen, projection TVs and all computer monitors, a fee of $25 will be charged for each item with a screen size smaller than 21 inches; and $35 for each item with a screen size of 21 inches and larger.

  4. Elmhurst Choral Union & Orchestra: Totally Mozart

    Elmhurst Choral Union and Orchestra present Totally Mozart, a concert of Mozart’s sacred works, on Sunday, April 30 at 3:00 p.m. in Hammerschmidt Chapel on the campus of Elmhurst College. Guest soloists join Elmhurst Choral Union and a professional orchestra for Mozart’s Requiem and Solemn Vespers, under the direction of Scott Uddenberg.
