View contemporary artworks by more than 50 living, local artists, in a diverse array of media and styles, including paintings, ceramics, photography, sculpture, collage, digital and mixed media. Members of the Elmhurst Artists' Guild include professional artists, corporate art directors, educators, feature film animation artists, woodcut print makers, tombstone carvers and self-taught artists.Opening reception is free, Friday, Sep 29, from 7-9pm. Most artworks are for sale.

Neighborhood outdoor tree group orders of four or more will be delivered free of charge in late November. Beautiful assortment of indoor trees also available. Proceeds help fund educational enhancements and programs that benefit the students of Elmhurst Public Schools.

Hussein Rashid is the founder of islamicate, L3C, a consultancy focusing on religious literacy and cultural competency. His work includes exploring theology, the interaction between culture and religion, and the role of the arts in conflict mediation. To share his research on Muslims and American popular culture, he writes and speaks about music, comics, movies and the blogistan. He currently is a fellow with the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute. The al-Ghazali Lecture.
