  3. Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network: 'Cue for a Cause

    September 3, 2017, All Day @ City Lot at York & Vallette

    The 'Cue for a Cause is a barbecue competition and family festival to raise money for the Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network. Competitors will be working to create award winning rib and chicken dishes and will be vying to be named Grand Champion. Families are invited to cheer on the competitors, enjoy live music, family entertainment, food from BBQ Jims, wine and beer, and raffles.

  4. Cue for a Cause

    September 3, 2017, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ City Lot at York and Vallette

    The 3rd annual 'Cue for a Cause, is a barbecue competition and family festival to benefit the Elmhurst Walk-In Assistance Network. Teams will prepare ribs and chicken for the judges, as they compete to be named Grand Champion. The public is invited to cheer them on while enjoying beer, bbq, bags, and live music. They can also vote on their favorite sauce. A silent auction and raffle will include great prizes, including Cubs, Sox, Bears, and Hawks tickets. For those better at eating ribs than making them, there will be a rib-eating contest. Kids will enjoy a great play area with inflatables, face painting, balloons, a magic show, and lots of other fun.
