McCormick House: 1952 – 1959 curated by Robert Kleinschmidt and Ryan Monteleagre See the Children's Wing with a full domestic interior for the first time since the museum acquired the McCormick House.
The Figure and the Chicago Imagists: Selections from Elmhurst College Art Collection curated by Suellen Rocca, one of the original Imagists Featuring over 30 works by some of the most provocative and influential Midwest artists since the 1960s. This exhibition is part of Art Design Chicago, an initiative of the Terra Foundation for American Art exploring Chicago’s art and design legacy with presenting partner, The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.

Experience the nostalgia and sentiment of Frank Capra’s 1946 classic film though a private collection from Richard Goodson of rare memorabilia including vintage posters, photographs, collectibles, and more. Additional objects from EHM’s collection will be on display, including handmade ornaments from Dresden, Germany and original prints by former Elmhurst resident Lee Sturges, a well-known American artist and etcher. Exhibit sponsor: Lakeside Bank.

Come join us for the first tree lighting ceremony in Elmhurst! Spend some time visiting with Santa Claus (he’ll arrive at around 6:30 aboard a fire engine!), enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and enjoy the festive Christmas carols by elementary school kids (6:00-6:30pm)! This event is by the Gazebo. The tree will be lit after Santa arrives.
