Elmhurst Public Library Introduces New Seed Library

For garden enthusiasts who want to try a new seed variety or wish to share a special heirloom variety with others, Elmhurst Public Library has a new seed library for gardeners of all experience levels.

The Seed Library is open March through November, located in the Lobby. Visitors do not need a library card to take seeds but are asked to limit themselves to up to five seed packets per household per visit. The seeds are available at no cost while supplies last.

To donate seeds, fill out a seed donation form, available at the Library or online, and leave seeds attached to the form in the seed donation box. Donations are added at the discretion of Library staff.

The Seed Library is stocked with donations from EPL patrons as well as donations from commercial seed companies.
