The Explore Elmhurst Express Trolley is officially back starting May 30 through September 13, running every Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 12 midnight—and the best part? It’s FREE to riders!
Whether you're a resident looking for a convenient way to shop and dine around town, or a visitor ready to explore Elmhurst’s charming streets and exciting local stops, the trolley is your ticket to summer adventure.
This 30-minute ride loops through six vibrant stops across the City:
- York and Park
- York and Schiller
- Second and Addison
- Cottage Hill and Virginia
- Spring and the Illinois Prairie Path

No tickets are required, and each stop is clearly marked with a special Explore Elmhurst sign. Parking is conveniently available near each location, making it easy to hop on and off.
The Explore Elmhurst Express is ADA-compliant and handicapped-accessible. While strollers that can collapse are welcome, bikes are not permitted onboard for safety reasons
