Now that it’s summertime in Elmhurst, that means it’s officially trolley time! The Elmhurst Express Trolley is a fun and free way to see the city every weekend. Whether you’re a longtime local or just visiting for the weekend, hop aboard to experience the shopping, dining, and events around town that Elmhurst has to offer. Each trolley stop is its own little adventure—especially on weekends packed with events! Use the trolley as a ride to your destination, or just as a relaxing evening out.
Running Fridays and Saturdays from noon to midnight through September 30th, the trolley loops around key destinations in about a 30-minute trip to 6 stops making it super easy to hop on and off as you explore. The stops are:
- York and Park – Enjoy local dining in the City Centre and take a short walk over to the Elmhurst History Museum.
- York and Schiller – Check out the Umbrella Sky Installation!
- Second and Addison – Explore boutiques and shops in the City Centre.
- Cottage Hill and Virginia – head on over to the Elmhurst Art Museum, check a book out at the Library or take a stroll around Wilder Park.
- Spring and the Illinois Prairie Path – discover the businesses and restaurants of Spring Road and venture out onto the Prairie Path while you’re there.
- York and Vallette – Explore the other side of the prairie path and don’t miss all the good eats on this side of town!
